Make Stress Management a Top Priority in 2017
I am fully appreciating the devastating impact of chronic stress on all aspects of health in my clinic. My patients definitely get better when they improve their nutrition and activity status, but they do not truly thrive until they get stress under control.
Stress is a beast in our modern lives and though we cannot kill this beast, we can learn to tame its inevitable surges with basic stress-reducing practices. Aside from my prior posts on this topic here, I am happy to announce a free lecture I am giving with Mark Coleman, senior meditation teacher at Spirit Rock, founder of the Mindfulness Institute and NY Times best-selling author of Make Peace with Your Mind: How Mindfulness and Compassion Can Free You from Your Inner Critic on 1/25 in San Francisco.
This will be an open and honest discussion, including common issues I face with patients in Silicon Valley, along with ancient and tech-based solutions to help manage stress. I look forward to Mark sharing his years of wisdom in a compassionate, yet practical approach to stress management.
The talk is free and will be followed by a book signing by both of us, but you must register here to attend. Click on the flyer link below for program details.
Please share this program with family, colleagues or anyone you know who is struggling with stress. Most resolutions deal with outer work (lose weight, make more money, etc.), but I hope many of us can do some meaningful inner work in 2017 which will benefit all aspects of our health. I wish you and your loved ones inner peace and the best of health for 2017!
